FAQs
Why is it called AcroPole?
The reason I chose to name my studio AcroPole is because it's my way of showing a different side of pole.
There is so much more involved with pole than just prancing around it.
AcroPole is like yoga to me. There's a deeper connection made that makes you feel strong and in control with your body and mind.
Every woman has a secret power they believe they can carry inside. AcroPole happens to be mine.
Do I need to be super flexible? Dude, I can't even do the splits.
And neither can I! I went into my first pole class not even being able to touch my toes. Flexibility is the one things you can re-teach your body. It takes patience and practice - both of which you'll be able to spend time on during class.
What should I wear?
Shorts and a close-fitted top. It's hard to spin in a loose shirt.
I have no upper body strength, will that be a problem?
It is not a problem. It's my job is to get you stronger quickly.
I aim for you to start feelings results in 5 weeks but every body is different. It could take less or a few extra weeks.
Everything. Literally. There's even this minuscule muscle in your forearm that we'll be working. You'll never need a man to open a jar ever again.
A yoga mat. I have one spare if you need. It'll be helpful when we stretch.
No lotions or jewellery.
How many levels are there?
Most other studios have about 10 levels. All studios differ in how long each level goes for.
There's a studio on PEI where a level is 8 weeks.
Because these are private lessons, levels are shortened to 5 weeks and can comprise of anything you want. If you want to skip the dancing part and just focus on acrobatic feats then you'll fly through the levels faster.
Do you offer membership plans?
Yes, you want to sign up for 3 or 6 months at a time, we can work out a custom rate to save you some money.
If you'd like to do two classes a week simply because once a week is just not enough, we can do that too :)
Is AcroPole safe? What are the chances I'm going to hurt myself
AcroPole has it's dangers just like any other sport. I have mats in case as a safety net if you need.
I will also never make you do things until your body is physically ready for it. That's why you don't learn to go upside into Level 3.
Do you offer practice time where I can just come in?
For sure! We can always set up time for you to practice on your own time.
How many people per class?
AcroPole Parties can take a max. of 6 people.
AcroPole Classes have 2 people. Perfect balance between needing breaks and getting as much time on the pole as you need.
If I miss one week can I make up my classes?
Yes, totally possible.
What forms of payment do you take?
Cash, bank transfers (ING Direct let's you email money for free), VISA or Mastercard.
